RANGER, Texas - Kathryn Cameron, a former Ranger College student, has been named to
the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) 2024 All-Texas Academic Team. Cameron has since transferred
to Texas Wesleyan University.
The PTK All-Texas Academic Team recognizes the exceptional academic achievements of
community college students across the state. Cameron was selected based on her outstanding
academic performance at Ranger College during the Fall 2023 semester.
"We are extremely proud of Kathryn and this well-deserved honor," said Derrick Worrels,
President of Ranger College. "Her dedication to academic excellence exemplifies the
determination and hard work of Ranger College students."
PTK is the world's largest honor society for two-year college students. Membership
in PTK is by invitation only and requires a minimum grade point average in addition
to a high level of academic rigor in the student's program of study.
Cameron has since transferred to Texas Wesleyan University and plans to continue her
education.
