Jim Cockburn is a Native Texan born in Olney, Texas. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University, earning a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Education in Counseling. Mr. Cockburn served for 28 years (active and reserve) with the U S Army and he is a retired Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Cockburn has worked at Ranger College since 1977 and has served as Director of Counseling, Registrar, Dean of Students, and presently Director of the TRiO Student Support Services program.
