General Scholarship Application

Available for baseball, basketball, choir, cross-country, debate, golf, rodeo, soccer, softball, and volleyball. All RC scholarships require full-time enrollment. Deadline for application is June 1, 2024.

Valedictorian of any accredited Texas high school is eligible for a one-year scholarship at RC as long as they attend immediately following high school graduation. Must enroll fulltime and in the first long term semester following graduation from high school. Deadline for application is June 1, 2024.

The Ranger College Promise Scholarship is available to graduates of current dual credit partner school districts and homeschools as a benefit of partnership with Ranger College. Eligible students must have graduated from a current partner school district within one academic year of enrollment at Ranger College. The scholarship will only be awarded for courses taken in the Fall and Spring semesters. Scholarship funds will be awarded based on two tiers.

Tier 1 eligible students will receive up to $500 per regular long semester (Fall and Spring) for a maximum of four concurrent semesters.

Tier 1 is worth up to $2000.

Tier 2 eligible students will receive up to $750 per long semester (Fall and Spring) for a maximum of four concurrent semesters.

Tier 2 is worth up to $3000

The Ranger College Promise Scholarship is applicable to tuition and fees only and will be applied after all other federal or state financial grants and/or private scholarships. The Promise Scholarship cannot be combined with or stacked onto any previously awarded merit-based or other scholarship from Ranger College. The Promise Scholarship will not pay over and above tuition and fees and is not refundable.

This scholarship is meant to: 1. Subsidize aid already in place for qualifying students, to fill gaps in their aid, and/or 2. provide aid to those who may not qualify for other federal or state- sponsored programs such as Federal Pell grants etc.

The RC Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious academic merit award given by the College and is based on exceptional academic performance, proven leadership, and demonstrated service. The award amount will cover full tuition, fees, and dorm room for one academic year. Deadline for application is May 15, 2024. Presidential Scholarship Application

Students from a radius of 20 miles of Ranger College may apply for our Regents Scholarship. Applications must be submitted to the Ranger College Financial Aid office no later than one year after the student’s high school graduation. The scholarship will pay up to $625 per semester for 4 semesters. All Federal and State financial aid will pay first and Regents will pay last and only if there is any outstanding balance on the students account. Deadline for application is June 1, 2024.

Ranger College Foundation as well as various Ranger College grants provide scholarships for our students. These scholarships are earmarked for different types of students based on many factors: academic history, specific programs or academic pathway, specific geographic areas, financial need, etc. We encourage RC students to apply for scholarships.
