About
Ms. Segit has experience beginning in 1992 as an Emergency Medical Technician. She later became a Licensed Paramedic in 1996 and practiced until 2003. Ms. Segit started her nursing education and obtained an associate's degree in nursing in 2010. After graduating, she worked at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Upstate New York before returning to Texas. Ms. Segit began working as a flight nurse and eventually as a Program Director for the flight service on the Texas/Mexico border. She then obtained Board Certification as a Flight Nurse (CFRN) during this time. After moving back to central Texas, she was hired as an Assistant Director of Nursing for a hospital in the area. While there, she began teaching part-time at Ranger College as a clinical instructor. Ms. Segit then graduated with her BSN and MSN from the University of Texas at Arlington during this time. Ms. Segit teaches didactic and skills courses and is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. She has also worked in the Intensive Care area. Ms. Segit has been with Ranger College since 2020. She teaches all American Heart Association disciplines as a faculty member. She has also continued to maintain her certification as an Emergency Medical Technician.
