Being a student at Ranger College Cosmetology is similar to working in a full-service salon. Students receive hands-on experience that prepares them for a career in the cosmetology industry.
After the students complete 160 hours of coursework, they begin working in the student salon, getting experience with real clients. With guidance of the instructors, students shampoo, cut, style, perm, color, apply makeup, and give facials, manicures, and pedicures. Students develop relationships with guests and can even build a clientele. The skills learned at Ranger College Cosmetology are transferable to any beauty environment.
***Applications for the cosmetology program are separate from the Ranger College general application. The application can be found to the left in “Links & Downloads”.
Applications must be returned, IN PERSON, to the campus you wish to attend.

Upon completion of the dual credit Cosmetology program, students are prepared to sit for the licensing exam issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and graduate with a valuable credential that will assist them in gaining employment in the field of Cosmetology.
