This affidavit is used to verify a student’s Texas residency for tuition and financial aid purposes, particularly for students who may not be classified as U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

By completing this document, you are confirming that you graduated (or will graduate) from a Texas high school or earned a GED in Texas, have lived in Texas for the required period of time, and intend to apply for permanent residency when eligible. The form must be signed and notarized to be valid.

You may be required to submit this affidavit to qualify for in-state tuition rates or to be considered for certain state financial aid programs.

This form is used to verify whether a student has previously earned a bachelor’s degree. Your response helps determine your eligibility for certain types of financial aid, as some aid programs are only available to students who have not yet completed a bachelor’s degree.

Students must indicate whether they have earned a bachelor’s degree and, if so, provide the date it was received. The form must be signed and submitted to the Financial Aid Office for processing.

You may be asked to complete this form if your FAFSA indicates that you are enrolled in a graduate or professional program, or if additional clarification is needed regarding your degree status.

This form is used to verify whether a dependent student’s parent(s) received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits (formerly known as food stamps) during the specified year.

Students may be asked to complete this form as part of the financial aid verification process. If SNAP benefits were received, documentation from the state must be provided as proof. Both the student and one parent are required to sign the form to certify that the information is accurate.

  2. Additional documentation, such as tax returns or proof of expenses, may be requested to confirm the information.
